Startline Leicestershire is our entry level event, designed for those who want to try a sportive, are interested in less hilly routes or want something of a training ride, with all the basics covered with a competitive entry fee!

We have moved the event for 2024 to take place after Easter - so if you’ve not already got some miles in by the time the Easter break comes along, you’ll have chance to blow the cobwebs off and increase your ready in time for this popular ride on some of the quietest roads in the East Midlands.

With the event being a little later we have added another route of 72 miles so a perfect distance for those who are a bit further ahead with their fitness!

Your adventure starts in the Vale Of Belvoir, heading through picturesque villages around Belvoir Castle you will find stunning views and quiet lanes. We have created two fully sign posted routes leaving you free you to enjoy the ride. The limited number of climbs make this a perfect event for those new to cycling or as a post winter warm up.

This event includes an indoor refreshment stop on the long route (both distances) where hot drinks plus a range of food will be provided to make sure you are well fuelled to finish your ride. You will also be served hot drinks and a hearty jacket potato with a variety to toppings after the event.

If you encounter any problems our mechanics and medical staff are ready to help. The event HQ at Hose village hall has plenty of parking - and parking as well as all food is included in the entry fee.
